Meet the Photographer
I am Joaquin Avalos and I was born in Sahuayo, Mexico. I moved to Iowa, U.S. spring of 2008. I enrolled in Muscatine High school and took photography classes as electives. Here is where I learned the composition and elements of a photograph. My first year of photography was Dark Room Photography. This was a fun exposure to learn about the printing and effects of the print. Worked with 35 film cameras for a year, until photography class 2. This class was completely digital for both camera and editing using Photoshop and Lightroom. I started as an Urban Photographer but it was until one of my cousins asked me to take her wedding pictures. That brought my very first memory of using a digital camera a Sony Epson at my sister's wedding. Yes, that day with 12 year of age I became an unofficial wedding photographer, only that took hundreds of snapshots. Likely, my sister was able to keep some good ones. To date, I have worked on Wedding, Senior pictures, family and urban. I hope to work my photography skills to "Capture your moments".
